Early Childhood Teachers

Ellen Emery is a Kindergarten teacher at St. Pius X. She has been teaching in the Diocese of Tulsa for 17 years. Ellen received her associates degree from St. Gregory's College . She is a graduate of Oklahoma State University with a B.S.degree in Elementary Education. She received her certification in Early Childhood Education through Northeastern State University. Ellen and her husband Richard have three children. Aaron is a freshman at Bishop Kelley Highschool and twins Ethan and Emily attend St.Pius X and are in the 3rd grade.

Mary Folluo is married to Rick and has two grown children, Christine and Matthew. She and Rick have been St. Pius parishioners for 12 years. She has a degree in Special Education from Truman University, formerly NMSU, in Kirksville, MO; her elementary education certificate from NSU/Tulsa, and an early childhood certificate from OSU. She is currently in her 18th year at St. Pius.

I started my teaching career at St. Pius X in 2001 as a preschool teacher's aide.  After earning my Bachelor's degree from the University of Tulsa, I began teaching full time in the St. Pius X preschool.  I also serve as the Preschool Coordinator.  My husband David and I have been married over 23 years and we have two children, Kaitlin and Matt.  Our family also includes a dog, bird and horse.

My name is Maria Newton.  This is my 7th year teaching Preschool at St. Pius X.  I have worked at St. Pius X for 10 years.  I have a BA in Psychology from the University of Tulsa and Alternative Certification in Early Childhood Education.  I am married to Sam and have two children: Cameron, 17, and Allison, 15 who attend Bishop Kelley.
